What equipment do I need ?
Nordic Walking evolved in the 1930's when it was used by cross country skiers to retain their fitness during the summer months. Over time a specific technique was created and Leki and Exel, who manufactured ski poles, developed the Nordic Walking pole.Poles

Clothes
Layers of walking or sports clothing that can be opened or removed are advisable, and remember you will be using your arms and upper body so non restrictive clothing is advisable. A small back pack with a bottle of water and tissues is also a good idea.

Footwear
Special Nordic Walking footwear is available, but it is perfectly acceptable to wear good quality, waterproof walking or running shoes.Please note that MBT's are not advised for Nordic Walking.
